Sundays at Exodus
At Exodus, you’ll meet people of all ages, backgrounds, and vocations from Springfield and beyond. Dress up or come dressed casually, whichever you prefer.
Sunday School at Exodus runs from 9-9:45 a.m., followed by corporate worship at 10 a.m., bringing all ages together to sing, pray, and hear from God’s Word. Come early, grab coffee, and worship Jesus with us.
We meet at 2450 Taylor Ave., Springfield, IL, 62703.
Sunday School (9-9:45 a.m.)
Sunday mornings at Exodus begin with Sunday School from 9:00–9:45 a.m. for all ages.
Our Adult Sunday School is an interactive time in God’s Word, led by a rotation of our elders. Questions are welcome, discussion is encouraged, and this fall we’re walking through the Gospel of Luke with the help from the Luke For You commentary series.
During this same window of time, children ages 4–10 have their own Sunday School class, where they learn the truths of Scripture through the Show Me Jesus curriculum from Great Commission Publications.
Worship Service (10-11 a.m.)
Our worship service begins at 10 a.m. and usually wraps up around 11 a.m. Each week follows a thoughtful, Christ-centered liturgy that helps us hear God’s Word, respond in prayer, and lift our voices in praise. We love to sing a blend of rich, time-tested hymns and psalms alongside newer songs and choruses.
The preaching is rooted in Scripture, walking passage-by-passage and often verse-by-verse through God’s Word. We share in the Lord’s Supper together on the first Sunday of each month. This fall, we’re working our way through the Old Testament Book of Judges.
We’re glad to have children in the service with us—it’s good for them to see, hear, and participate with God’s people in worship. For little ones ages four and under, we offer a nursery staffed by background-checked volunteers.
“Whether you are uncertain about the Christian faith and want to process and ask questions, or you are a committed follower of Christ looking for a church family, you are welcome at Exodus.”
