Meeting Needs
Being a small church means our people and resources for mercy ministry are limited—certainly more so than churches with larger budgets. But that doesn’t mean our hearts are bound by those limits. On the contrary, our congregation seeks to be generous with what God has entrusted to us.
We’ve provided snacks for lower-income elementary schools here in Springfield, collected coats and jeans for the Helping Hands of Springfield mission, and lent time, skills, and labor to neighbors in need. Beyond Springfield, we’ve partnered with the PCA’s Disaster Response to help those affected by hurricanes in the Southeast and forest fires in California.
And we pray—lifting up those burdened, hurting, and in need, trusting God to provide hope and healing.
Whether here at home or across the country, our aim is the same: to show the compassion of Christ in practical ways. We invite you to join us—whether by giving, serving, or praying—as we seek to be His hands and feet for the good of Springfield and beyond.
Scripture calls God’s people to care for the vulnerable, and few are more vulnerable than the unborn. Exodus partners with First Step Women’s Center to provide compassionate, life‑affirming care for women and families.
First Step offers far more than free sonograms. They walk with clients—providing medical and resource referrals, connecting them with churches and community services, and continuing to pray for and encourage them long after their first visit.
At Exodus, we believe our culture’s great need is for both truth and love: medically sound care that helps women and men understand what abortion involves, while also offering real, hopeful alternatives for the good of every life touched—mother, father, and baby.
If you’re navigating a pregnancy decision—or if you’d like to support this work—we’d be honored to walk with you and connect you with First Step and other local resources.
